Sinks can be made in either porcelain, a white, dense clay or in stoneware, a brown clay that gives the surface a more earthy look with characteristic speckling. Both clays are fired to a very high temperature and are quite durable. The sinks are made to be heavier than bowls for the table or kitchen use.
Porcelain is more suitable for painted designs. The palatte is limited due to the firing temperature and conditions in the kiln. Some bright colours can be achieved with available glazes.
Please allow 12 weeks or more for orders. Done in off season only.
Sinks with overflows or vessel sinks are $525. All others $475.
